THEY say a year is a long time in football. But whoever ‘they’ are should speak to Blyth Spartans manager Alun Armstrong.
The former Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough striker celebrates a year in the Croft Park dugout this week and has performed admirably in his first managerial role. Although ‘admirably’ is seriously underplaying his performance.
