DAVE Worthington has quit as manager of AFC Blackpool after his side won only once in 12 g ames.
Despite a promising start to the North West Counties Division One North season, the Mechanics suffered a series of humiliating defeats including a 3-2 defeat by basement side Atherton LR and an 8-1 dr ubbing by Prestwich.
Worthington, who took over at the beginning of last season following the de parture of Stuart Parker, quit 24 hours after a 3-0 defeat at Chadderton.
