GARRARD ORDERED KEEPER TO ‘FEIGN INJURY’

HONEST Luke Garrard admitted he asked goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore to “feign injury” to allow his Boreham Wood side to reorganise and take the heat out of a sustained period of pressure.
Ashmore fell to the ground and stayed down for at least two minutes midway through the first half of their game at Chesterfield on Tuesday night with his side very much on the back foot.
And it seemed to do the trick as Wood weathered the storm and secure a hard-fought 0-0 draw at the Technique Stadium.
