DEAN BRENNAN’S departure from Wealdstone this week definitely came as a surprise.
When you get promoted into the National League, what is the expectation? Dean assembled a good squad of players, especially in the final third, and although they’ve had a difficult period, I didn’t particularly fear for their status.
You’re going to have peaks and troughs when you’ve just been promoted and are part-time. His exit isn’t a sacking so it does seem, from the outside, that there has been a breakdown in communication or trust somewhere ...
