CANVEY Island succumbed to a narrow defeat against Horsham at the Steve’s Taxi’s stadium.
Canvey made a bright start with Bradley Sach forcing a save out of Louis Carey in the first few minutes.
After that neither side were able to create much with the strong swirling wind making life difficult for both teams.
Eliott Ronto fired a shot through a crowd of players that Carey did well to keep out just before half time.
