CALUM Newson’s 90th-minute finish added gloss on a comfortable result as Lewes won their first game of the season away at Clarence Park.
St Albans were lacklustre, though began this game brightly and Kieran Petrie’s goal inside five minutes was ruled offside.
It might have been a different story entirely, had Lewes not broken the deadlock after 21 minutes.
Tom Bender’s long throw caused havoc, the ball bouncing in the box and falling the way of defender Josh Spinks, who nodded beyond Sam Donkin.
