NEWBIE Coby Rowe was unfazed by the task of shackling Torquay’s 18-goal striker Jamie Reid – and it showed as Sutton leapfrogged their visitors with victory.
Centre-back Rowe was making only his third appearance for the U’s after a January switch from Haringey Borough and marshalled their back four skilfully to ensure Reid had barely a sniff of goal.
First-half strikes from Rob Milsom and Will Randall clinched Sutton’s fifth home success in seven games as Matt Gray’s side recovered immediately from their midweek reverse at Halifax.
