In what felt like a pivotal moment at the top and bottom of the National League, relegation-threatened Morecambe gave themselves a potential lifeline with a deserved win at title-chasing Rochdale.

In what felt like a pivotal moment at the top and bottom of the National League, relegation-threatened Morecambe gave themselves a potential lifeline with a deserved win at title-chasing Rochdale.
There was no hint of things to come when Dale’s Aidan Barlow chipped Myles Boney in the Morecambe goal midway through the first half to give the home side the lead.
Dan Moss, Casey Pettit, Kyron Gordon and Callum Perry all went close to doubling that lead before Morecambe equalised.
