Ammies step up title charge

SALFORD CITY extended their lead at the top of National North to six points thanks to second-half strikes from Lois Maynard and Jack Redshaw.
The Ammies now head for Southport tomorrow with promotion destiny in their own hands.
The first half saw the hosts play good football without really breaking down a stubborn Nash defence.
Curzon had less possession, but could have edged ahead after eight minutes only for Jake Dunwoody’s low effort to be well saved by Tim Erlandsson.
