Saints snaffle smash hit DJ

NEW Brackley Town striker DJ Sturridge is determined to put National League North defenders in a spin this season.
The 24-year-old has arrived at St James Park from Oxford City, becoming boss Andy Whing’s eighth capture of the summer.
“I’m an energetic player with plenty of pace,” said the former Aston Villa academy graduate. “I like to run in behind, work hard for the team and, most importantly, score goals.
“I had a good spell at Oxford City, played a lot of games and managed to score a few goals, which gave me plenty of confidence.”
