SPENNYMOOR TOWN were deserved winners in an absorbing encounter as Jason Ainsley returned to the dugout.
Moors axed boss Tommy Miller this week having been appointed in April following the departure of club legend Ainsley.
And his temporary reinstatement led to Spennnymoor scoring either side of half-time courtesy of an own goal and Luke Spokes.
But their weak underbelly was seen when Darren Stephenson struck in the 76th minute and Jude Oyibo hauled the visitors level seven minutes later.
