CURZON Ashton’s late push for the play-offs was boosted when a last minute corner from skipper Craig Mahon was met by a bullet header from midfielder Adam Barton to seal all three points away at fellow promotion hopefuls Scarborough Athletic.
The hosts were on top in the early stages, and almost went ahead on 18 minutes when a trademark Lewis Maloney free kick was brilliantly tipped over by keeper Chris Renshaw, then Maloney fizzed a shot wide.
