CHORLEY cruised past an abysmal Gloucester City side without leaving second gear thanks to first-half goals from Jack Sampson and Justin Johnson.
The visitors came close to finding an opener when defender Scott Wilson fired a fe- rocious volley towards the top-left corner but was denied by a picture-perfect save from Zach Jeacock.
However, the result- ing corner was headed back across goal from Wilson into Sampson, who fired the opener from close range.
