Macclesfield ace Danny Elliott says getting back to making an instant impact for his team has made the gruelling months of rehab worth it.
The 30-year-old striker has spent the best part of eight months on the sidelines after injuring his ACL last Boxing Day in a National League North game against Buxton.
The injury, which saw Elliott miss the Silkmen’s famous FA Cup third round win against Crystal Palace, meant an operation before spending hours in the gym – including on his honeymoon – to get back.
