■A NARROW and hard fought victory saw Barnstaple pushed out all the way by Totton.
Nat Sherborne missed a great chance with the goal at his mercy as his first effort hit the post and from the resulting rebound the striker shot wide.
The visitors paid the ultimate price when on five minutes Ryan Turner headed home a Kyle Paine cross.
Barnstaple doubled their lead on 55 minutes when James Mayne headed home a corner from Sean Copp.
But the visitors were back in the contest with 15 minutes remaining, Dylan Knight turning in Sherborne’s cross.
