■AN ASSURED display saw Ashford in control throughout to take the win.
A level-tempo first half saw Ashford take the lead with a Mark Bitmead dink from a long ball forward.
Kempston came with thoughts of victory, trying to play wide football, though Ashford were in control as Bitmead got a second.
As the second half proceeded Ashford scored a third through Daniel Fleming after Kempston were left open at the back.
