EGHAM ground out the win they needed to secure a play-off place at Farnborough.
Facing a Barton Rovers side already secure in third place, they knew only a win would be good enough with Kempston and Dunstable just behind.
The Sarnies were in determined mood and took the lead in the 33rd minute when Brendan Matthew broke between the centre-backs before beating Kyle Forster in the Rovers goal.
