Sills left dismayed by derby day snub

Tim Sills says he is mystified by the decision to move Wimborne Town’s local derbies with Poole Town to midweek this season.

Tim Sills says he is mystified by the decision to move Wimborne Town’s local derbies with Poole Town to midweek this season.
The Magpies boss says he was shocked and disappointed to discover that their Boxing Day and Easter Monday clashes with rivals Poole had been replaced by matches against his former club Basingstoke Town – a three-hour round trip from the Dorset town.
It is understood the Poole games were switched on the advice of Dorset Police, but Wimborne boss Sills was left unimpressed.
