■ A SOLITARY Donvieve Jones goal settled this clash between second-top and second-bottom in the table.
Right-back Jones touched in an Ayman El-Mogharbel set-piece despite the attentions of a Lancing player on the line for what proved to be the only goal of the game.
Joe Hasler and the resigned Faris Khallouqi went close for Lancers early on, but despite an impressive defensive showing, Billy Wood’s side struggled to create anything clear-cut.
