ALFIE PAXMAN and David Smith gave Folkestone Invicta victory, although Jake Clowsley pulled a goal back for Brightlingsea to leave matters in doubrt to the end.
Paxman opened the scoring for the visitors in the 44th minute when he swept the ball into the net after a Scott Heard cross into the box from the right.
Striker Smith doubled the Kent side’s advantage right on the hour mark when he converted another Heard ball in from the right hand side after an Aaron Simpson had headed the ball on.
