SUTTON got back to league action as they entertained Witton Albion.
After an even opening period Witton took the lead on ten minutes when some sloppy marking and defending ended with Steven Tames having the simplest of tap-ins.
Sutton almost equalised within minutes when Witton failed to clear their lines and a header hit the bar and was cleared to Tyler Lyttle, but his volley was wide of the post.
A corner by Aaron Birch found Lee Smith three yards out but he put his header wide.
