EMLEY earned their first victory of the Northern Premier League season by defeating Curzon Ashton at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Friday night.
In the sides’ first meeting in 35 years, Curzon started the better side and had an early opening which the Nash forwards failed to capitalise on. It came after an Emley back-pass caused goalkeeper Ben Bottomley to be on hand to clear the danger.
