■ON A sweltering hot day at Sharpenhoe Road, the weather was the winner in a mediocre game between two mid-table sides who shared the points.
Aylesbury’s Tyrone Lewthwaite opened the scoring against the run of play in the 21st minute to give the visitors the lead.
Sam King had the ball in the net just before half-time but a late flag ruled it out.
Charlie Smith equalised for Rovers just after the break from a free-kick which found the top corner of the net, giving Archie Davis in the Aylesbury goal no chance.
