■ RYAN GOONEY was the hero and villain for the home side as Bideford salvaged a point.
Bideford had the opportunity to open the scoring, but Archie Reay saw his spot-kick saved well by Gosney to keep the score level.
Sholing took a fortuitous lead when Dan Mason’s cross come shot from the touchline evaded everyone and nestled in the Bideford net.
The drama came in the final seconds of the game when the visitors were awarded a second penalty. This time Craig Duff made no mistake.
