FROME’S efforts to reach the promotion play-offs were given a boost after a crucial victory over Paulton, their fourth consecutive win in nine days.
Rookie striker Sam Meakes opened the scoring on the half-hour mark with a header from a free-kick, before captain Sam Teale leapt highest from a corner amid disarray in the Rovers’ box.
Lead secured, Frome warded off chances from forwards Joseph Morgan and David O’Hare.
