DAN GILCHRIST’S double was not enough for Barking as Waltham twice came from behind.
Gilchrist opened the scoring after just four minutes but Darelle Russell equalised for Abbey within 12 minutes.
Barking restored their advantage when Gilchrist found the net for his second of the game with ten minutes remaining.
Barking may have thought they had done enough to win the game but four minutes later, the home side equalised when substitute Steven Sylvester scored for Waltham Abbey to make it 2-2 late on.
