CHASETOWN returned to winning ways.
Chasetown started brightly and Jack Langston was inches wide with a free kick.
The Scholars took a deserved lead in the 28th minute when a Chris Baker throw in slipped out of his hands but Will Whieldon reacted quickly and hooked over a cross to Langston.
Grove were reduced to ten men when skipper Ross Davidson received a straight red card.
