A BRILLIANT double save from Town’s Joe Wright threatened to preserve their slender advantage and condemn the Police to a second successive home defeat in four days.
But the goalkeeper’s great effort to deny the Mets from the penalty spot was ultimately not decisive because the Police claimed a point with a screamer of a shot from 20 yards by Luke Robertson after 79 minutes. Eight minutes earlier, Wright had faced Tom Bird from 12 yards after a handling offence. He saved the penalty and also denied the Police from the rebound.
