With 20 minutes remaining a big clearance from Phoenix keeper Steve Phillips was latched on to by Jeff Duah-Kessie, who outpaced Terry Murray and cut inside but his shot but was well saved by Danny Bracken.
With a quarter of an hour left the visitors went close when Ben Cheklit hit a good shot inches over.
