STAINES earned an unlikely point and kept their play-off hopes alive with two late goals after Margate seemed destined for their third win over the Swans this season.
Margate held sway in a bruising opening quarter before Staines’ Max Worsfold set up half-chances for Jonathan Hippolyte and Sam Hatton.
The Swans’ Elliott Buchanan and Mo Bettamer also went close but Margate led on 42 minutes, with Jack Evans’ fine individual goal.
