BLACKFIELD & LANGLEY’S welcome to the league proved a happy one with victory over Slimbridge in a game of few chances.
A largely forgettable first half saw the first shot on target come from the home side’s Owen Fee which was saved easily.
The game sprang into life midway through the first half when Slimbridge had more than a fair shout for a penalty which was turned down by the referee and Blackfield went straight up the other end with Liam Robinson grazing the post with a rasping 20-Yard drive.
