CHRIS Almond’s hat-trick eased Prescot Cables to a comfortable win at Kendal Town and sent them soaring up to second.
Kendal, who have gone five games without a goal, made a bright start after Matt Clarke forced a good save out of Ben Barnes. But Almond had his side motoring with two goals in two minutes, scoring from close range on 26 minutes before finishing into the bottom corner moments later.
Kendal battled during the second half as Jacob Davies fired over before Gavin Clark saw his free header go over the bar.
