■ marked their first-ever Step 4 fixture with a hard-fought draw against Walthamstow at the Daly Group Stadium. The Ghosts were well worth a point on the opening day with Jake Watts netting a historic equaliser in front of an attendance of 242.
In the 38th minute, Jeorgy Batch’s cross picked out Marley Reynolds, but his header was plucked away by Walthamstow goalkeeper Anton Robinson. Fakenham began the second half on the front foot, but it was the visitors who struck first.
