CANVEY Island began their
■ Isthmian League North campaign with three points after a comfortable victory at Cambridge City’s FWD-IP Community Stadium.
The visitors took the lead in the third minute through an own goal. Canvey dominated for long periods but were unable to extend their advantage until the 79th minute, when Ernest Okoh found the net to make it 2-0.
