AN impressive half-volley from Herne Bay’s Connor Cox cancelled out Ashley Miller’s penalty to force a share of the points at Salters Lane.
A timid first half left the contest goalless at the break, with neither team threatening to open the scoring.
The game sparked to life when Herne committed a foul in the box, handing the Lilywhites a chance to break the deadlock from the spot.
Miller stepped up and coolly slotted his kick into the corner to give Faversham the lead on the hour mark.
