SALISBURY went top of the league after 47 seconds, but that happy state did not last the 90 minutes as errors cost them two points.
The opening goal came from the best move of the match, with Lewis Benson winning the ball in midfield before feeding Dominic Jefferies.
The young midfielder got to the by-line and pulled the ball back to Marvin Brooks whose sizzling first time finish found the top corner.
On 16 minutes it could have been 2-0 when Jefferies fed Brooks again, but Hendon keeper Jonathan North came out quickly to block.
