Sussex County League Round Up March 3

PEACEHAVEN & TELSCOMBE moved a point clear at the top despite having to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Dorking  Wanderers on Saturday.

The league leaders also have five games in hand on second-placed Ringmer, who suffered a damaging 2-0 defeat away to Selsey.

Redhill are up to third after Chris Gregson netted twice in a comfortable 4-0 away success over Shoreham, whilst Hassocks slipped to fifth after an entertaining 3-3 draw away to Rye United.

Richard Hudson, Craig Grantham and James Rhodes were all on target as fourth-placed East Preston thrashed struggling AFC Uckfield 4-0.

Bottom side Worthing United are now 19 points adrift of safety after Danny Leach grabbed a brace in a 6-2 home win for Hailsham Town.

Chichester City got a much needed 1-0 away victory against Sidley United to boost their survival hopes. Pagham enjoyed a fine 3-0 away win against East Grinstead Town and Lancing ran out 3-2 winners at home to Crowborough Athletic.

Arundel lost 2-0 away to St Francis Rangers and there was a 3-1 away victory for Lingfield against Horsham YMCA.
