SWINDON Supermarine’s improved second-half showing was enough to earn them all three points in this close clash.
There were early appeals for a penalty when the visitors’ Connor Waldon went down.
Despite Supermarine pressure, Yate took the lead on 28 minutes when Jack Ball headed home from a pinpoint Mike Baker cross.
Ball almost made it 2-0 to the home side soon after but his overhead kick rattled the crossbar with a stunning attempt.
