■ WINGATE & FINCHLEY cruised to a comfortable victory against a badly out-of-touch Merstham, the Moatsiders producing one of their worst displays of the season.
It was game bereft of quality, with both sides struggling to cope with a dry, bobbly surface.
Wingate settled quicker and took the lead in the eighth minute.
Merstham keeper Yannick Makiese produced a brilliant save to deny in-form striker Reece Beckles- Richards.
