CENK Acar scored the only goal of the game as Spalding United edged past mid-table Kidsgrove Athletic.
The Tulips man netted in the 72nd minute to secure three points for third-placed Spalding United.
It was actually Kidsgrove who had started the better of the two sides with Kyle Diskin seeing an effort well saved at the back post while captain Ant Malbon also had a sight of goal.
