WORKINGTON continued their late charge for a play-off place with a hard earned victory over Halesowen.
Inspired by keeper Daniel Platt, the visitors continually frustrated a Workington side fresh from three successive victories. Platt saved a fifth-minute penalty from Dave Symington and pulled off a string of top saves.
His best effort in the first half was a diving stop to keep out a shot from Nathan Waterston when he had been played in by strike partner Scott Allison.
