■THIS was a match with both teams vying for play-off spots Scott Durojaiye put Boro ahead and Ralston Gabriel doubled the lead before Brad Warner replied for the visitors.
However, Ant McDonald restored Boro’s two-goal lead by the interval and they went 4-1 ahead just before the hour with McDonald’s second. Lewis Manor got one back for Bowers when his shot squirmed under the body of Will Viner and Chris Benjamin seemed to have made life comfortable for Boro, but Brad Warner made it 5-3 and Martyn Stokes 5-4.
