SOHAM are now just one point above the relegation zone as they could only take a point.
A 16-game winless run between December and March meant Rangers looked set for the drop, before four successive victories over the past month.
However, they faltered slightly with a sub-par display against the Dockers. In-form Sam Mulready fired them in front midway through the first period but, following a foul in the box, Kurt Smith deservedly equalised for the visitors from the spot.
