SYNNERS MAKING A SACRIFICE

BILLINGHAM Synthonia have quit their Central Avenue home of the past 59 years.
Yesterday’s Northern League Division Two game against Willington saw them bid farewell to the CLS Sports Stadium due to the cost of maintaining it.
The Synners have now signed a two-year deal to play at the former home of Norton & Stockton Ancients, who quit the league earlier this season.
Billingham, however, have not ruled out a return to the stadium in two years time.
