RELEGATED Wantage ended their Southern League days in disappointing fashion.
Cleeve led when Jordan Stoddart’s header after 62 seconds was too strong for the Wantage goalkeeper.
Wantage had spells of possession but never looked threatening and the early goal seemed to take a lot of urgency out of the Cleeve play.
It became even more of an uphill struggle for Wantage when defender Callum Preece received a second yellow for hauling back Jack Watts.
Shane Bumphrey had numerous chances to score but wasted them.
