DEAN BARKER says he leaves Cockfosters with a heavy heart – but thinks it’s the right time to make the next step in his managerial career.
The 33-year-old has enjoyed two successful seasons with the Spartan South Midlands League club, culminating in this season’s third place – the club’s highest finish in its 96-year history.
Barker, who is the club’s top scorer, also guided Fosters to their best ever FA Cup and FA Vase runs and signed off with silverware by winning the Potters Bar Charity Cup.
