DAVID Berks has quit as player-manager of Midland League Premier Division outfit Brocton despite a superb FA Vase run.
The Badgers reached the fourth round for the first time in their history, only to lose 3-2 at Tadcaster Albion.
But they failed to reproduce their cup form in the league, and have been relegated.
Berks had been in the hot seat for three years since taking over from his brother John. They narrowly failed to avoid the drop last season.
