ALUN ARMSTRONG accepts quality costs after Blyth Spartans forked out to sign prolific Whitby Town midfielder Dale Hopson.
The National League North newcomers paid an undisclosed fee for a player who found the net no fewer than 30 times from the middle of the park in all competitions.
Armstrong said: “It has cost a lot more than I’d have wanted to pay, to be totally honest. But for someone of his ability, you have to pay.”
