IMPRESSIVE South Shields continued their unbeaten preseason form with a fine victory over FC United of Manchester at Mariners Park.
Two goals in quick succession from striker Gavin Cogdon at the start of the second half put Shields on their way.
Fellow attacker Carl Finnigan added a third deep in the half, finishing off a clever free kick.
