SHEP’S A CITYHERO AFTER HIS 50 YEARS

LONG-SERVING John Shepperd can finally look forward to watching his beloved Oxford City in peace after standing down as club secretary after 50 years.
The legendary 82-yearold first started watching Oxford City during the war as an eight-year-old and has been ‘doing something’ for the famous National League South club since the 1960s.
He became club secretary in 1967 and was also at the heart of the club’s return to senior football in 1990. The club climbed back up the divisions in the Isthmian League in the 90s, culminating in Shep’s greatest moment, watching Oxford...
